Martin Leichtman, Ph. D., is a clinical psychologist with over forty years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. A member of the staff of the Menninger Clinic for three decades, he served as Chief Psychologist in the Child and Adolescent Service for twenty-two years, directed a residential treatment unit for eight years, and consulted to the Topeka Public Schools and community mental health centers. He served on the faculties of psychiatry, psychology, and social work training programs of the Menninger School of Mental Health Science, where he was named teacher of the year on a number of occasions. He is the author of The Rorschach: A Developmental Perspective and over fifty book chapters and articles on child development and the diagnosis and treatment of psychopathology across the life cycle. He is currently on the staff of Responsive Centers for Psychology and Learning in Overland Park, Kansas.
OVERVIEW: Symptoms of ADHD are among the most common psychological problems encountered in children and adolescents. This Zoom webinar will discuss current concepts of the disorder, how it is diagnosed, and how to use the diagnostic process in ways that help families understand the condition and develop plans for its treatment.

This continuing education Zoom webinar is designed for case managers, social workers, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and health care workers. The community is welcome to attend.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Mental Health America of the Heartland is a pre-approved provider for social workers through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) Provider Number 17-007. This continuing education provider is approved 3.0 hours for social workers and accepted for psychologists, professional counselors, masters prepared psychologists, marriage and family therapists and addiction counselors.
In order to receive continuing education credit and a certificate of attendance for this Zoom webinar, you will be required to participate in the Zoom webinar. You will receive a Zoom invitation via email within a week of webinar. Also you will need to take an online exam and complete an evaluation that will be sent in a separate email after the live Zoom webinar. You must pass the test by 70%. The Zoom webinar will not be available by recording and viewing at any other time.
