Jason Stary, LCPC received his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2014 and obtained his clinical license in 2021. From a leader in church youth groups to a case manager and street outreach worker for runaway and homeless youth, Jason has worked with adolescents in a variety of settings since 2006. As a therapist, Jason has been doing individual and family counseling with adolescents since 2015. Since May 2022, Jason has been one of the group leaders for Renew Counseling Center’s Adolescent IOP in Olathe, KS. Jason also has experience doing individual therapy with adults and desires to help people become more like God has created them to be. Jason specializes in addressing issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-harming behaviors, trauma, communication problems, and family conflict. Jason also knows what it's like to live with depression and anxiety, having addressed these issues in his own life. Jason is married with three children, enjoys sports and traveling, and is involved in a local church.
OVERVIEW: This Zoom webinar will discuss the impact that being bullied can have on children and adolescents and will cover helpful strategies to use when working with individuals and their families on this issue.

This continuing education Zoom webinar is designed for case managers, social workers, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and health care workers. The community is welcome to attend.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Mental Health America of the Heartland is a pre-approved provider for social workers through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) Provider Number 17-007. This continuing education provider is approved 1.5 hours for social workers and accepted for psychologists, professional counselors, masters prepared psychologists, marriage and family therapists and addiction counselors.
In order to receive continuing education credit and a certificate of attendance for this Zoom webinar, you will be required to participate in the Zoom webinar. You will receive a Zoom invitation via email within a week of webinar. Also you will need to take an online exam and complete an evaluation that will be sent in a separate email after the live Zoom webinar. You must pass the test by 70%. The Zoom webinar will not be available by recording and viewing at any other time.
