Erin Connelly Marceau, LSCSW, is Clinical Director at KVC Hospitals Wichita
Erin Connelly Marceau brings more than eight years of experience working with children in the mental health field. In her previous role as a Therapist for KVC Hospitals Wichita, Erin provided group, individual, and family therapy for children receiving inpatient treatment. Prior to joining KVC, Erin worked in an office practice providing individual and marital therapy and teaching parenting classes. Erin helped develop a program providing children with mental health services while at school, including educating staff about mental health and how to respond to mental health crises. Erin is a clinically licensed social worker and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wichita State University.
Annmarie Arensberg, LCSW, LSCSW, is Director of Clinical Operations at KVC Hospitals
Annmarie Arensberg oversees the admissions department for all inpatient and residential treatment programs, provides clinical oversight for utilization review, helps develop KVC’s therapeutic services, and assists in community outreach. Annmarie has been with KVC for eight years and has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Trauma Systems Therapy, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. She earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare, is a licensed specialist clinical social worker in Kansas, and a licensed clinical social worker in Missouri.
OVERVIEW: This webinar will review common mood disorder diagnoses in children participating in treatment in an acute hospital setting. Participants will be provided an overview of clinical best practices, trauma-informed systems of care, and environmental considerations when providing quality care to children. This webinar will also review special considerations for the impact of trauma on the presentation of symptoms and experience of clinical interventions.
OBJECTIVES: As a result of attending this webinar, the participant will be able to:
CONTINUING EDUCATION: Mental Health America of the Heartland is a pre-approved provider for social workers through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) Provider Number 17-007. This continuing education provider is approved 3.0 hours for social workers and accepted for psychologists, professional counselors, masters prepared psychologists, marriage and family therapists and addiction counselors.
In order to receive continuing education credit and a certificate of attendance for this zoom webinar, you will be required to participate in the live zoom webinar. You will receive a zoom invitation via email within a week of webinar. Also you will need to take an online exam and complete an evaluation that will be sent in a separate email after the live zoom webinar. You must pass the test by 70%. The zoom webinar will not be available by recording and viewing at any other time.
