Zoom Webinar
Registration Fee: $25
Dr. Caroline Danda is a child psychologist, speaker, and your partner in helping families turn emotional chaos into connection and clarity. With over 20 years of clinical experience, as a mother of three neurodivergent kids, and co-author of From Surviving to Vibing, she brings professional expertise and real-world understanding to the challenges families face today. Dr. Danda specializes in helping clients and audiences navigate emotional resilience, anxiety, mindfulness, and parenting challenges, including how to prevent power struggles before they start. Her presentations blend science and story, helping people understand big emotions, strengthen connection, and find what works in real situations. She supports parents, educators, and organizations as they help kids and teens build lasting resilience. Her work is grounded in the belief that resilience takes root in the small moments and real connections of daily life.
OVERVIEW: Big emotions can be hard to navigate, even for the most caring, capable adults, whether you're a clinician, parent, educator, or community supporter. When someone becomes overwhelmed, the brain's logical center goes offline, and typical responses like reasoning or consequences often escalate the moment instead of resolving it.
This session introduces the Be An EMPATH Method, a practical, neuroscience-informed six-step framework for de-escalating big emotions, helping others feel understood, and guiding a return to problem-solving. You'll also learn Cope Out Loud, a strategy for modeling regulated responses in real time, and simple self-care practices to stay grounded while supporting someone else through a hard moment. Walk away with real-world strategies you can use immediately, whether in session, at home, or in the community.
