A senior psychologist, Stuart Weir, PsyD, works with adult and young adult patients at The Menninger Clinic. His expertise includes the psychodynamic treatment of personality disorders and personality assessment with a focus on performance-based measures. His clinical interests include mentalization-based and transference-focused psychotherapies.
Dr. Weir completed a postdoctoral fellowship on Menninger's Professional’s Program. His fellowship also included subspecialty training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and group consultation.
He completed a post-master's internship through Baylor College of Medicine and Menninger. During his internship, he worked primarily on Menninger's Compass Program for Young adults and Adolescent Treatment Program. His internship also included a research rotation with an emphasis on personality disorders, attachment and mentalization-based therapy.
Dr. Weir completed his education at Biola University's Rosemead School of Psychology, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as his master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology.
In addition to his role at Menninger, he's an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
OVERVIEW: This Zoom webinar explores the role of contemporary psychodynamic and personality theory in the formulation and treatment of bipolar disorder. Current research, overview of theory, and clinical implications will be discussed

This continuing education Zoom webinar is designed for case managers, social workers, psychologists, therapists, and counselors.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Mental Health America of the Heartland is a pre-approved provider for social workers through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) Provider Number 17-007. This continuing education provider is approved 1.5 hours for social workers and accepted for psychologists, professional counselors, masters prepared psychologists, marriage and family therapists and addiction counselors.
In order to receive continuing education credit and a certificate of attendance for this Zoom webinar, you will be required to participate in the Zoom webinar. You will receive a Zoom invitation via email within a week of webinar. Also you will need to take an online exam and complete an evaluation that will be sent in a separate email after the live Zoom webinar. You must pass the test by 70%. The Zoom webinar will not be available by recording and viewing at any other time.
