OVERVIEW: Chronic pain is more than just a physical sensation—it weaves into every aspect of a person’s life, shaping their emotions, thoughts, and overall well-being. For many, it exists in a tangled relationship with anxiety and depression, creating a cycle that can feel impossible to break. In this Zoom webinar, therapists will explore the intricate connection between the mind and body, uncovering how the brain perceives pain and how emotional and psychological factors influence that experience. They will learn to distinguish between structural pain and neural circuit-related pain, gaining insight into evidence-based interventions like Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients find relief and healing.
This Zoom webinar goes beyond theory, providing practical tools and strategies therapists can apply immediately. Through the review of research, case studies, and experiential exercises, participants will learn how to tailor pain management approaches that address both the physical and psychological needs of their clients. By the end, they’ll be equipped with a comprehensive, mind-body framework to begin helping clients reclaim their quality of life.
