Riena (pronounced Ree-nah) Kain, LISW-CP, LSCSW, ADHD-CCSP received her undergraduate degree in psychology and human services from Upper Iowa University’s extended branch on Ft Riley and her master’s degree in social work from Washburn University. Riena holds a clinical social work license in both Kansas and South Carolina as well as an ADHD- Certified Clinical Services Provider certificate. She is a wife and mother who loves to travel, be in nature and spend time with her dogs and a good book. Riena has over a decade of experience in working with at risk youth and adolescents. Her experience spans from child welfare social work, school-based therapy, and private practice. It is her hope to share her passion for ADHD and to grow your competency on a complex diagnosis.
OVERVIEW: The American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Children and Adolescent Psychiatry encourages a parenting focus when working with youth. This course was developed to help fellow clinicians grow their knowledge base on ADHD, the reasons for a family-based approach and guide them on strategies to help incorporate families into the clinical space.

This continuing education Zoom webinar is designed for case managers, social workers, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and health care workers. The community is also invited to attend.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Mental Health America of the Heartland is a pre-approved provider for social workers through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) Provider Number 17-007. This continuing education provider is approved 4.0 hours for social workers and accepted for psychologists, professional counselors, masters prepared psychologists, marriage and family therapists and addiction counselors.
In order to receive continuing education credit and a certificate of attendance for this Zoom webinar, you will be required to participate in the Zoom webinar. You will receive a Zoom invitation via email within a week of webinar. Also you will need to take an online exam and complete an evaluation that will be sent in a separate email after the live Zoom webinar. You must pass the test by 70%. The Zoom webinar will not be available by recording and viewing at any other time.
