Barbara Lucas, LCMFT is a licensed Clinical Marriage and Family therapist and owner of Sacred Counsel, LLC in Overland Park, KS. Barbara also implemented the counseling program for Dave's Place Community Outreach center in Kansas City, MO. Specializing in Trauma, Couple distress, Identity Development, Cultural Diversity, and Reconciliation, Barbara endeavors to empower individuals, couples, and families through their journeys towards personal, professional, relational, emotional, and spiritual growth. Barbara also has an extensive criminal justice background in the areas of Juvenile Justice and Adult Corrections where she focused on rehabilitation and community reintegration. She earned a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Friends University, where she also serves as an adjunct instructor. In addition, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University. Barbara has a deep passion for Justice and working toward the reconciliation of interpersonal division.
OVERVIEW: Come learn about the signs and symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation. This seminar will discuss how to have a conversation about the impact of mental health in your family, friends and the community. There will be a panel discussion of resources and services available to the community before and during a crisis.

Mental Health America of the Heartland is a pre-approved provider for social workers through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) Provider Number 17-007. This continuing education provider is approved for 3.3 for social workers and accepted for psychologists, professional counselors, masters prepared psychologists, marriage and family therapists and addiction counselors.
In order to receive continuing education credit and a certificate of attendance for this zoom webinar, you will be required to participate in the live zoom webinar. You will receive a zoom invitation via email within a week of the webinar. Also, you will need to take an online exam and complete an evaluation that will be sent in a separate email after the live zoom webinar. You must pass the test by 70%. The zoom webinar will not be available by recording and viewing at any other time.
